Meet more animals than ever before at our 2019 show

It wouldn’t be a country show without the chance to meet the animals from the countryside – and this year, The National Country Show Live will be returning with MORE animals than ever before!

Petting Zoo

If you’d like to have a cuddle with some cute and fluffy animals, head over to our Petting Zoo where Gemma’s Farm will have a whole range of animals for you to meet and hold. With ponies, goats, sheep, turkeys, chickens, ferrets and giant rabbits, you can also meet guinea pigs, mice, rex rabbits, chicks, ducklings and farm dogs – there’s an animal for everyone! Exotic Animals

Come and meet unusual and exotic animals at this year’s show with the Exotic Animal Encounter. Discover everything from Kookaburras and Ravens to Meerkats, Skunks and even an Armadillo! The team will even be bringing along their seven-week-old baby Meerkats for you to meet! For more details click here.

Poultry and Duck Zone

Learn more about chickens and ducks from the experts at the Colchester Poultry Club at this year’s show – you can even meet some of the birds too!

Snakes and Reptiles

Get up close to snakes and reptiles and learn all about them from the Federation of British Herpetologists at this year’s show.

Ferret Zone

Come to the Ferret Zone and meet the Essex Ferret Welfare Society who will be raising awareness and promoting welfare. There will be a whole range of ferrets that you’ll be able to meet as you learn more about these popular animals.

Falcons in Flight

Turn your eye to the sky as Fens Falconry brings a range of birds along to the show for a stunning display. You can get up close and meet the birds as well as speak to the expert handlers on the day.

Hopefield Animal Sanctuary

We’re also delighted to welcome Hopefield Animal Sanctuary to the show, who will be telling you about the great work that the Brentwood based Sanctuary does as well as bringing some visitors along for you to meet including guinea pigs, a tortoise, a bearded dragon and more.*
