FAQs

To help you plan your day out at the National Country Show LIVE, we have compiled a list of our most frequently asked visitor questions. If you have a question which is not answered here, please call our general enquiries line on 01702 549623, Monday to Friday, 9am to 3pm (excluding Bank Holidays).


TICKETS

Do I need to pre-book my tickets?
Tickets can be booked in advance on our website by clicking here. Alternatively a limited amount of tickets will be available to purchase on the gate, however for capacity restrictions we cannot guarantee they will be available. We strongly advise booking tickets in advance to take advantage of the discounted pre-booking rate and to secure entry to the show on your day of choice.

What’s included in the 2023 ticket price?
Your ticket price to the National Country Show Live includes entry to the show and FREE parking at Hylands Park, plus all the displays in the arenas including the Horse Stunt Shows, Falcon Display, Sheep Show, BMX Bike Battle, Strongman and Strongwoman competitions, the Tug-of-War, Welly Wanging, the chance to meet our T-Rex, plus ferrets, alpacas, live music and more! Small additional charges apply for the Fun Dog Shows, which go straight to the dog rescue running the classes. There will also be some small additional charges for some of the have-a-go activities including the children’s inflatables, zorbing, pony rides etc.

I’m having trouble with my ticket booking. What should I do?
If you have a ticket enquiry, please email support@yourticketbooking.com or call 0333 242 7912. Lines are open Monday – Friday between 9am and 3pm excluding Bank Holidays. On show days lines will be open from 8am to 11am.  The cost to call 0333 numbers is the same as calling a normal local or national landline. If your tariff or call package offers free or inclusive calls to landlines, numbers starting with 03 will normally be included free of charge.

I’ve booked the wrong date on my tickets! Can I amend the booking?
Yes, please email support@yourticketbooking.com with your Booking Reference Number and the team will be able to assist you. Ticket day exchanges can only be made up until 3pm on Friday 15th September 2023 and are subject to availability.

Do you have a concession for carers?
Yes, we offer free entry for carers. You will need to book tickets for everyone else in your group but the carer/s will receive complimentary entry. Just let the team on the gate know and they will arrange entry.

I can’t find my ticket confirmation email – what should I do?
Sometimes our ticket confirmation emails end up in people’s junk mail (we try not to take it personally). Follow this link to the ticket booking page, then click on ‘More Information’. There should be an option to ‘Resend My Email’. Click this and your tickets should be resent through to you. For further assistance, please email support@yourticketbooking.com or call 0333 242 7912.

Do I need to print my tickets?
No, this year we are encouraging customers not to print tickets. Instead, please have your tickets ready for scanning on your smartphone when you arrive at the show.

I can no longer attend – can I get a refund?
We’re sorry if you can’t join us but all ticket sales are final and non-refundable.


PARKING & TRANSPORT

Is there an additional charge for parking?
No, parking at the National Country Show live is FREE for visitors. There are plenty of car parking spaces available, some hard-standing and the remainder on grass. Please follow the directions from our car park marshals to the event car park area. Please note that if you park outside of this area, you may be charged.

Are there parking facilities for those who need accessibility?
Yes. The spaces are as close as possible. Please ask staff on arrival and they will direct you to these spaces.

Is the show accessible by public transport?
Yes, according to the Hylands Estate website, the show is accessible by bus using route C4 First Buses, alighting at Lodge Road and walking down Paradise Road through to the underpass and into the park via the Writtle car park entrance. The nearest train station to Hylands is Chelmsford Station. The station is approximately a 10 minute drive from Hylands Estate. You can find further details on their website by clicking here.


THE SHOW

Does the show take place inside or outside?
The National Country Show Live takes place on the grounds of Hylands Park. The majority of the event is outside, but there will also be several undercover areas including the Craft & Gift Pavilion and the Fine Food & Drink Pavilion.

What time does the show open and close?
The National Country Show Live will be open from 10am – 5pm on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th September 2023.

What’s on offer for children?
There will be a wide range of entertainment at our 2023 show for children including inflatables, pony rides, fairground rides and more. Find out more on our website here.

What’s the ground like?
The ground that the show will be taking place on is fairly flat, however please be advised that the show does take place on grass.

Will there be toilet facilities?
Yes, there are several toilets available at the National Country Show Live including disabled toilet facilities. There is also an additional hard standing toilet block in Hylands Park, next to the Adventure Playground area.

Are dogs allowed in the grounds?
Yes dogs are allowed – in fact we have Fun Dog Show classes and have-a-go activities the dogs can enjoy too! All dogs must be kept on a lead and under control at all times. If your dog is being handled by a minor please make sure you are with your child and dog at all times. Please respect our surroundings and pick up any waste after your dog and dispose of it in the dog litter bins that are situated in various places around the park.

Can I enter the Show more than once during my visit?
Yes, we will issue hand stamps for anyone wishing to return throughout the day of their visit. However, please note that tickets can only be used on either the Saturday or Sunday, they cannot be used to attend both days.


FOOD & DRINK

Is picnicking allowed?
Yes, you are welcome to picnic in any public areas of the venue.

Will food be available to purchase at the show?
Yes, there will be an array of stands selling a selection of food and refreshments in our Village Green area. You can find more information on our website here.


Whilst we advertise events, activities and entertainments we will not be held responsible for the failure of any events, activity and/or entertainment being available or the quality of any of the events, activities or entertainments. Failure of any of these to please cannot be held as a reason for refund.

Disclaimer: By entering the fun dog shows you are agreeing to take full responsibility for, any injury or damage to your dog(s) and it is not the liability of Aztec Garden Shows Ltd including disappearance, theft, death or otherwise. You are fully liable for your animal should they cause any damage or injury. Any dog showing aggressive behaviour at the show will be asked to leave with no refund given. In the interests of hygiene make sure you pick up after your dog. Any videos or photos taken by a member of Aztec Garden Shows Ltd may be used in future for promotion of the show. Visitors are reminded that the terrain of the show may be unstable please be aware of the possibility of slips, trips and falls. By entering the show you are agreeing to the above disclaimer and that the videos and images taken may be used.
